@AnthonyWMoll To be fair, we’re only two in but I’ve been impressed so far. There’s a neat one about time travel that surprised me for a cartoon. It does take itself seriously and the drawings are comically similar (except who my 9yo calls ripped Scotty)

@ianpowerOMG My fault…BCPS has become the filter with which I view all ed. My family in PA has been in school for a year or so and don’t wear masks to school and there is no testing. Their school district also hates books 🤷♂️

@ianpowerOMG There’s been 0 community spread at my kids prvt school. Private schools are back in person because they have access to resources that have been squandered by BCPS incompetence.

Over the summer, a former student “interviewed” me over e-mail about placebo buttons. If you’re unaware, placebo buttons are buttons that don’t actually do anything and are instead used to make a person feel in control of the situation. The most commonly referenced buttons are elevator close buttons (they just close on their own) and pedestrian press-to-cross buttons at intersections. Patrick did a small, informal study that he wrote about at EXBERLINER entitled Idiot buttons: The brutal truth about Berlin’s pedestrian crossings. He found this:
