@NElmqvist @MattiasArvola @professorBodker @ProfessorHook I’m not so sure we say it’s hard to avoid such bias and leave it at that. It’s disappointing that a colleague at an academic conference, regardless of native culture, would believe that peoples’ race has no effect on their life experiences.

@NElmqvist It’s #CHI2020 . I mentioned it publicly in Dec/Jan but no one seemed interested and I always feel like I’m fighting windmills. With all that is happening in the US (and why), it seemed as good a time as any to bring it back up and remind all of us that academia isn’t immune.
